Minka launches turtle necklace collection to support endangered turtles
Minka Jewels is set to launch a one-of-a-kind collection of stunning necklaces, featuring hand-made gold turtles. The turtles are articulated so they give the impression of dancing when worn, and are made of 18k yellow gold. They come set with an emerald, sapphire or diamond in their shell – or can be made bespoke for a birthday present or christening gift, with birthstones or other favourite jewels.
These gold turtle necklaces can be purchased along with some gorgeous, coloured cord or on a gold chain from Minka’s chain shop. Alternatively, they can be bought individually to add some sparkle to an existing favourite necklace.
Whichever turtle you decide to buy, 10% of sales will go to the Marine Conservation Society, a charity which helps endangered turtles.
A little bit about the Marine Conservation Society:
This UK charity fights for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean: one we can all enjoy. One of their many goals is to recover the health of the ocean and our wildlife. Marine turtles are valuable creatures as they have been providing benefits to marine ecosystems, the wider environment, and us, too. Marine Turtles boost ocean habitats and economies as well as provide shelter, transport, and food.
There are four types of turtles found in this area of the world: Hawksbill Turtles, Green Turtles, Loggerhead Turtles and Leatherback Turtles and they are all under threat as their nesting sites are disturbed by human activity. Minka hopes that supporting the MCS will go some way to helping these stunning creatures, not only survive, but thrive too.
The Turtle Collection starts from £1,650.
