What was your favourite piece to design?
I personally loved using the beautiful carrée cut diamonds, some of which had to be specifically cut to fit the design. They have an old school beauty to them that fits perfectly with the design.
Has this collection been a long time in the making?
The first design for Ley Lines was thought of and drawn approximately 7/8 months ago and then slowly it started taking shape when stones were sourced - often the stone itself will influence the final design.
What has proved the most difficult piece to design/make?
The most difficult to make were the Standing Stone Tourmaline and Diamond earrings - the stones had to be cut specifically to fit into the design and then the setting of the stones was also quite something.
Any other feelings about the collection?
I am thrilled with this collection, it is something different but still with a clear Minka aesthetic - a bold use of gold and colour, with the addition of timeless diamonds.
